A wonderful Political Cartoon depicts the devil as “Democracy" holding a bucket labelled "Bourbon Principles" and a paintbrush, in which appears a profile caricature of Grover Cleveland. Dripping red paint with which the devil plans to "paint the town" while standing on a ledge overlooking Washington, D.C.Judge was a weekly satirical magazine publication from 1881 to 1947. The magazine was launched by artists who had broken away from its competitor Puck. Judge associated with the Republican Party and through the cartoons of leading cartoonist Grant E. Hamilton, supported the candidacy of William McKinley.
