“La Dolce Vita” (The Sweet Life) still remains spellbinding.

A larger than life movie, spectacularly stylish and a cinematic milestone was made in 1960 and the Italian Black and White Film ran for 174 minutes. It was directed by Federico Fellini and stared Marcello Mastrioanni.

The magnificently charismatic Marcello Mastrioanni stared as Fellini's alter ego (Marcello Rubini). The movie follows a philandering paparazzo over seven days and nights drifting through the "sweet life" of decadent Rome in a fruitless pursuit for love and happiness.

This caustic movie provided a razor sharp observation of the decadence of 1960’s Italy and presented a clairvoyants glimpse of the celebrity-obsessed society the world would become. Original release poster was created by Giorgio Olivetti.
