Flower Thrower - Street Art Poster
A time-honoured theme, Peace and an end to atrocities in the name of war.
This powerful artwork was created in August 2005, when Banksy travelled to the Palestinian territories where he produced a number of very controversial pieces on the West Bank Wall in Israel.
The Flower Thrower is an attention grabbing work that connects the symbols of rage and peace. The art work depicts an angry, frustrated person wearing a kerchief and a baseball cap, captured in the moment of throwing a bouquet of flowers. The symbolism this work illustrates is the aspiration for peace in the world and is a graphic reminder of the 1960 street riots.
What a perfect world it would be if conflicts could be solved by throwing flowers instead of dropping bombs?
