This poster created by Marcello Dudovich in the 1940's, published by La Presse, Milan, Italy. The magnificent illustration titled “Mandarinetto, Isolabella” was produced for a poster advertising one of Italy’s classic sweet liqueurs. The Poster features a beautiful young lady in a blue outfit watchfully holding a bottle of Manderinetto, Isolebella. The 1871 original recipe was by Egidio Isolabella, founder of the ancient Distillery Isolabella.
Marcello Dudovich was born in Trieste in 1878 and passed away in Milan in March 1962. He was a painter, illustrator, and poster designer. Together with Leonetto Cappiello, Adolfo Hohenstein, Giovanni Maria Mataloni and Leopoldo Metlicovitz he is considered one of the founders of Italian poster design.
